I ended up as a late replacement for the Virgin Radio team in the Eat My Goal football quiz this evening at the CC Club. I was definitely being carried by the rest of the team, but it was tough competition with teams from several mens mags, Five Live, Xfm, Talksport, LBC, The Daily Mirror and The Star.
This was all to celebrate the release of Eat My Goal, one of those football DVDs that has loads of stupid mistakes and terrible misses. All mildly amusing – I saw a preview of the tape about four months ago on fast forward.
But sadly we didn’t win, and came somewhere around joint fourth. Lots of “celebrities” to be found including Suggs (well he does have a show on Virgin, but he wasn’t on our team), Colin Murray (on the Five Live team), Mark Bright (strangely, not on the Five Live team) and Abi Titmuss (on the FHM team).
As you can tell, it was A-list event. But I won’t complain because they served free food and drink all evening…
