Edison Research Top 25 UK Podcasts – Q4 2025

Edison Research Top 25 UK Podcasts – Q4 2025

Edison Research has just published their Top 25 Podcasts in the UK for Q4 2025. As ever, this chart is based on recall from 2,000 online interviews with weekly podcast listeners in the UK.

As ever, I’m going to take the long view on this and show how the chart has changed over time.

This probably isn’t the most exciting chart ever. The top 4 podcasts are unchanged, with only the 5th and 6th placed podcasts switching places this time around.

The Daily sees a bit of a spike this quarter, while Newscast takes a little lead over The News Agents amongst the big UK news podcasts.

There are four re-entries this quarter with Parenting Hell returning to the chart having missed the Top 25 for the first time last quarter. Other re-entries are The Archers, Stick to Football (recently purchased by Global), and The Infinite Monkey Cage.

That means four podcasts slip out of the Top 25 this quarter. They are Saving Grace, which is missing from the chart for the first time, Help I Sexted My Boss, which has also been ever-present since the second release of this data, You’re Dead To Me, which tends to move in and out of the chart depending on whether they’re publishing new episodes, and Rotten Mango, which has been in the chart for the last three quarters.

As ever, while I can’t prove this, my feeling is that many of the titles that have slipped out of the chart could just as easily slip back into next quarter.

What is notable is that there are no completely new entries this quarter.

Here’s what the chart looks like over time, at least examining the history of this particular set of 25 podcasts.

And here’s that same chart without the animation.

So you see a great deal of consistency at the top of the chart with the real big hitters, and then quite a lot of noise the further down you go.

But it’s also interesting that 15 of the Top 25 were in the very first release of this data back in Q2 2023. In other words, it is hard to break into this list.

Data is from Edison Research: Edison Podcast Metrics UK Q4 2025 Top Podcasts is based upon 2,000 online interviews with weekly podcast consumers in the United Kingdom, ages 15 and older. Interviews were conducted continuously throughout the fourth quarter. Rankings are based on listening or watching over the full period. All respondents reported listening to/watching podcasts in the last week.
