I know that there&#8217;s this DCMS takedown setup, but how can a system that&#8217;s chock full of copyright material, and reliant on it for page impressions, not be responsible for itself? It&#8217;s really not the same as providing webspace.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve argued this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adambowie.com\/weblog\/archive\/001713.html\">before<\/a> and I&#8217;ll argue it again. Oh, and Google&#8217;s pretty much in the same boat.<br \/>\n[UPDATE] Is <a href=\"http:\/\/media.guardian.co.uk\/newmedia\/story\/0,,1875229,00.html\">this story<\/a>, at the moment with Warners, the way out for YouTube? Somehow, YouTube is going to identify if the music included in your video is copyright using some software they&#8217;re working on, and then it&#8217;s going to somehow share revenues with Warners. Is this ad revenue? We&#8217;re talking about?<br \/>\nQuite how this works with remixes, mashes, visually copyright material and much more, I don&#8217;t know.
