{"id":2806,"date":"2010-08-08T23:07:24","date_gmt":"2010-08-08T23:07:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.adambowie.com\/2010\/08\/tanguera\/"},"modified":"2010-08-08T23:07:24","modified_gmt":"2010-08-08T23:07:24","slug":"tanguera","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.adambowie.com\/blog\/2010\/08\/tanguera\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanguera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having read the <a href=\"http:\/\/londonist.com\/2010\/08\/dance_review_tanguera_sadlers_wells.php\">Londonist review<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sadlerswells.com\/show\/Tanguera\">Tanguera<\/a> last week, and been vaguely intrigued by the tube posters, on a whim I went to see this tango inspired piece at Sadler&#8217;s Wells this evening.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s wonderful. It&#8217;s a 90 minute simple story told via dance, with several songs, about a young French girl arriving in Argentina and being dragged into prostitution despite having fallen for a waterfront worker.<br \/>\nOK &#8211; so the story&#8217;s not much good. But the dancing is tremendous, and the music is addictive.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve no doubt that this production has been around the world lots of times, but that doesn&#8217;t make it any less good, and it&#8217;s well worth a visit if you enjoy dance.
