With print deadlines being very early, Andrew Collins would not have learnt of the death of Katharine Hepburn when he penned this week’s “Bigger Picture” in the Radio Times.
He’s chosen Bringing Up Baby, which as I said the other day, I love. A nice piece (not online as far as I can see) detailing a little of the background around Howard Hawk’s masterpiece. I must pick up and re-read my copy of Todd McCarthy’s biography of Hawks.
Thinking about it, I think I have a Hepbern biography lying around that I haven’t read yet. And she’s written a couple of books that could prove interesting too. It’s a while since I read a Hollywood biography.
