Very strange. The 10.30 ITV News ended and we were due to go into the local London news. Instead we got “Welcome to Meridian News, and also to viewers in London.” This was followed by a full local Meridian bulletin.
I should explain that I’m in north London and shouldn’t ever get the news from other regions. I can only think that there was a localised problem in the London studios on the South Bank. The same feed was being sent both digitally and on analogue.
No explanation on the actual programme (Newsnight was very keen the other week to explain that they were in different studios when a freak storm flooded their usual studio).
