Sucker For A Free DVD

Last weekend, it was The Guardian giving away Cinema Paradiso in the paper, and this coming weekend it’s The Times which is giving away A Private Function.
Every weekend, you can scout around to see what DVDs and CDs are being given away. Express newspapers shrink-wrap at least two CDs every week – they normally have a few 70s tracks you’ve heard of.
Meanwhile the Evening Standard has a live Damien Rice CD tomorrow, and I just picked up the new Q magazine which has their Best of 2004 CD attached to it – which is always a free CD worth getting. I’ve quite enjoyed the CD attached to Word magazine, and of course there are good worthwhile CDs attached every month to BBC Music Magazine (full length classical piece), Uncut and now Mojo.
Back with the newspapers, if there’d been an Asda nearby, I could have picked up Night of the Living Dead for Halloween with last Sunday’s News of the World.
(Do you get the idea that I’m trying to avoid talking about the election now?)
