Lost in the UK

Finally Lost reaches these shores tomorrow night. You are going to watch it aren’t you? (At least, if you haven’t like, ahem, some of us).
C4 have even scheduled in a nice break to go and cook something nice before you settle down for the second half of the pilot.
After you’ve seen a few episodes you’ll be hooked. And then the question is whether you buy the US DVD box set of the first series which is released on 6 September from your favourite online distributor? I’d heartily recommend this since the new series in the US will be starting next month…
Incidentally, don’t pay too much attention to articles that make Lost the biggest success “since Desperate Housewives” since they both started at the same time. It’s Channel 4 who’ve held Lost back. Incidentally, has Mark Lawson seen the whole series?

Lost feels to me like a series that was at its best in the opening run, but it remains, for American and now British television viewers, quite a find.

We haven’t even seen the second series, so how the first can be better is something of a moot point. Or maybe he’s talking about later in the first season compared to earlier. Well I’d disagree as I think that it improves once some of the mysteries are set up and the backstories begin to kick in.
Anyway, 8.30pm tomorrow evening.
