Wow. I’ve just watched an episode from the sixth series of CSI and you might just have thought that the writers of the episode had watched episodes from Death on the Staircase. Because in this story, a man is suspected of murdering his wife who’s found dead at the bottom of the staircase with blood all around. It also turns out that an ex-wife of his had died in a similar manner, although no foul play had been suspected previously.
As it happened, the story diverted somewhat from the true crime at that point onwards. A forty-three minute episode of CSI was never going to get that heavily into a case in such a complicated manner, but the parallels really are too close for complete chance.
