Hanging on the Telephone

The “Participation TV” story isn’t going away anytime soon.
Today’s Guardian has another full page on the scandal and an editorial – Hanging on the Telephone – to boot.
I’m quietly (well not that quietly) proud about the editorial since I think, in some small way, I may have informed it a little.
Just because gaming channels on the periphery of the digital TV universe can do it does not mean that mainstream broadcasters should. Astonishingly, this point has been seized on first in the US. Over there, American Idol and Dancing with the Stars (aka Strictly Come Dancing) use toll-free numbers.
Might this piece of information have come from a comment by a certain adambowie1?
