Dr Fox Struck Off

Isn’t that a headline you’ve always wanted to see?
OK, so it’s “Foxy” these days, and he’s leaving Capital.
Of course it’s all down to his burdonsome TV load: “I have and always will be a radio man through and through but I’ve got a lot of ITV shows coming up and I’ve learned you just can’t do it all.”
Nothing at all to do with Capital aiming at a somewhat younger audience these days. And woe betide anyone who suggests that the writing was on the wall the second that Fox didn’t get the Tarrant gig.
The replacement is Richard Bacon, currently to be heard on Five Live at weekends and who’s just started as the voice between comedy clips on BBC 7. He’s to see out that contract before moving to Capital. I suspect that the BBC might be a bit miffed.
And if you’re not into slightly sarcastic late twenties/early thirties men, then Capital’s probably not the station for you…
