Crap Telly

Dear god, we’re really into silly season on TV now aren’t we? If Big Brother’s not your thing (and it’s really not), then this week we have BBC1’s only Fools on Horses (it’s for chariddee) and Love Island (carefully losing last year’s “celebrity” since, well, they’re not).
By my reckoning, I’m left with Britain’s First Suicide Bombers or CSI on terrestrial tonight at 9pm. Bring back the World Cup! At least the evening’s are nice and I won’t feel I’m missing anything good.
Dr Who finished at the weekend with quite a bang, and we got a very slight teaser trail for the BBC’s next Saturday evening drama – Robin Hood. Must get my DVDs of Robin of Sherwood out again…

Robin of Sherwood, now you’re talking. I remember a few years back the BBC (not ITV 7 or whatever) were in talks to repeat RoS in primetime, but Ray Winstone scuppered the deal as they money wasn’t right. I asked him this in one of those Empire magazine ‘ask the celeb’ thingies so it’s straight from the guv’nor’s mouth.
Nothing on telly again tonight, lucky I just received my new Press Gang Series 3 DVD through the post!

Good luck with Press Gang. Must get those DVDs soon. It turns out that a friend at work’s kids plays with Judi Trott’s (Maid Marion) kids. It’s a small world…

Meant to say, Robin of Sherwood does get shown a bit on ITV3 these days.
