With any luck, if this post is published correctly, it means that the just-released beta of Windows Live Writer has successfully worked. It’s a WYSIWYG blog entry editor that works with the majority of blogging software. It took me no time to set up and seems to at least allow me to work on, and save entries when I’m offline for later publishing online. I’ll have to wait to see how pictures work. The one really useful feature which Movable Type doesn’t offer, and that I could use from time to time, is spellchecking. Fortunately, this has that feature.

I suspect that this is the kind of thing that we’ll expect to see built into Word or other apps later.
