Lynx

New Style Lynx Can
As you may well have seen in the ads, Lynx (website “temporarily unavailable”) has a new style lockable can. You can see it in the picture above.
The idea is that you can twist the cap and rises slightly locking the spray mechanism. It’s to stop the cans going off in your bag – something that can easily happen if the lid falls off, adding a pleasing smell to all your bag’s other contents.
But can I just say that this new design is absolutely terrible. Maybe I’ve just got a duff can, but there are two major defects in the cans as far as I can see. First, the lockable section has an annoying habit of rising back up as you’re using it sending the spray into the cap and not onto your body. Second, my can at least has now developed a fault and the spray’s mostly going into the cap even with it fully open, and then trickles down the side of the can and onto my hands. Again, not onto my body.
As I say, my can might just be faulty – I bought it in multibuy offer at Boots, so we’ll see how the next can works – but it strikes me as poorly thought through. Let’s face it, new designs sell deodorant.

Same problem here with 2 cans.
Ring the number on can and tell them of the fault, quoting the number on the base of the unit. You will get a full refund.
In the meantime twist the cap anticlockwise whilst lifting up to remove the top section, then simply use the clear nozzle section to continue using your existing spray 🙂

Well a sample of three might be a little less than robust, but it seems to be that there’s a major design flaw with this product.
I wonder how long the cans will last without either modification or replacement.
I must admit that I’ve actively avoided using Lynx since the troubles I had noted above. It looks like their packaging and marketing has seriously backfired.

Yep…Same problems as above. Worst design ever.
This morning, I resorted to removing the complete nozzle enclosure and using the plastic nozzle alone. Slightly painful and a bit humiliating to boot…
Will have to buy some other brand this evening.
    Bom Chicka-WANK WANK 🙁

I have had Lynx for years and this new twist cap is no good at all. I have had at least five cans do the same >>>>>all the spray going into the cap . I will change brand if this is not sorted …Bring back the old caps PLEASE!

You are not alone with some of these deodorants. I am in the process of manufacturing one, simple (FRESHJOCKS) to use and really does a good job!
P.S. Website will be launched soon.
