Chris & Neil
To the Hammersmith Apollo to see a great Pet Shop Boys concert with all your favourites in a non-stop show. Great stuff, and more photos to be found here in my Flickr stream.

Nice photos. I saw PSB way back in the day in 1991 or 1992 (ish) at Wembley Arena. Fantastic concert. They played my all time PSB fave song of, er, all time ‘We All Feel Better In The Dark’. Did they play that at this gig?
Please tell me that the Chris vocals were not just limited to Paninaro 😉

Er. No. They didn’t play that. They mainly played their hits, with a few more recent songs from the last album or so.
So don’t bother hunting down a bootleg of last night if that’s what you’re after.
And I too was at one of those Wembley Arena concerts. I seem to remember that the Balanescu Quartet sat around playing light classical as support and was profoundly ignored by most of the audience.

Yes, I think you’re right. I think the Balanescu Quartet were the support act. My memory is a little foggy but I do recall PSB opening with ‘One More Chance’ and they did a really good ‘Sound Of The Atom Splitting’ sometime around the middle of the concert.

I think you’re right. As I recall they kind of used Sound of the Atom Splitting as a kind of intermission piece. It gave them a chance to change costumes etc.
It must be said that the staging of this tour is significantly simpler than what I’ve seen in the past. But then I believe in the past that PSB tours were so ridiculously ornate that they barely made any money on them, such were the outgoings.
